Kelsey’s Favorite Things: January 2026

A new year always brings a fresh wave of inspiration—quiet winter mornings, reorganized spaces, and a craving for textures and pieces that feel warm yet elevated.

January is one of my favorite design months: the holidays have settled, light shifts subtly, and I find myself drawn to items that feel grounding, cozy, and beautifully crafted.

Here are the pieces I’m loving as we step into 2026:

1. Venus Table Lamp in Natural Wood – Pooky

Natural charm with a sculptural twist

This lamp hits every note I’m craving right now: warm wood tones, a beautifully tactile silhouette, and a block-printed shade that feels artisanal without being overly precious. It’s the perfect injection of character for a bedside table, entry console, or reading nook. The Temple Green shade is particularly good—soft, classic, and layered with just enough pattern to spark interest.

2. Driftway 3-Drawer Nightstand – Serena & Lily

Clean lines meet thoughtful detailing

A forever favorite in many of my projects, and for good reason: the Driftway nightstand is the perfect mix of coastal, tailored, and modern. The drawer proportions are roomy yet graceful, and the brass hardware adds just the right amount of softness. It grounds a space without demanding attention—ideal for bedrooms where quiet luxury is the goal.

3. Briana Bed – MadeGoods

Statement-making, sculptural, and timeless

This bed is a showstopper. The arched shape, the textural upholstery options, and the subtle play of curves against crisp linens all make the Briana one of my most-requested pieces. It’s versatile—equally beautiful in a serene primary suite or a sophisticated guest bedroom—and instantly elevates a room into something memorable.

4. Dot Fabric in Fern – Sister Parish

A playful classic in the perfect shade of green

Link

I will never tire of a great dot print, and Sister Parish does it best. “Fern” is fresh, sophisticated, and the kind of green that feels both cheerful in winter and vibrant in spring. I love this for roman shades, pillows, a desk chair, or even a whole room of drapery if you’re feeling bold. It’s a heritage print that still feels modern—always a win.

5. LL Bean Fair Isle Sweater – Sailcloth Skier

Cozy nostalgia we can actually wear outside

Link

This sweater is giving vintage ski weekends, après hot cocoa, and East Coast winter in the best possible way. It’s warm, soft, and charmingly retro without feeling costumey. Perfect for site visits, school drop-offs, or curling up with plans and a cup of tea while the weather does its thing outside.

6. Suede Sheepskin Gloves – Prada

Because good gloves make winter feel glamorous

Link

I don’t typically put designer items in my seasonal roundups, but these gloves are special. Soft, elegant, warm, and beautifully constructed, they’re the kind of winter accessory that makes even a grocery run feel polished. A true treat-yourself piece—because January deserves a bit of luxury.

7. The Voyager – Loom & Co

Elevated comfort with artisan charm

Link

This rug hits the sweet spot between understated and statement-making. It’s the kind of piece that quietly pulls a whole room together—adding warmth, depth, and just enough “what’s that rug?” energy. Whether under a coffee table or anchoring a sitting area, it makes everything around it feel more considered.

Inspiration Moving Into the New Year

This month, I’m leaning into pieces that feel intentional: warm woods, fresh greens, sculptural silhouettes, and textiles with soul. These favorites reflect where I see design heading in 2026—toward lived-in elegance, quality craftsmanship, and personal expression.

If you try any of these in your home (or on your winter wardrobe), I’d love to hear how they work for you.

Here’s to a beautiful start to the year.
